Financial professionals seeking new opportunities should consider a career path with Hardesty. We are actively recruiting the most talented and seasoned financial leaders across the country. Who is a good fit to become a Hardesty CFO Partner? Our partners typically have 20 – 25 years financial leadership experience, most of that at the C Suite-level. Often they have manager/partner experience with larger public accounting firms or experience as an investment banker; our partners have CPAs and/or MBAs. Many of our partners have worked with Fortune 2000 companies at some point in their career, but their experience often includes public, private-equity owned and private companies; most of their experience is with middle market companies. Collectively, our partners have worked in a broad range of industries, virtually every SIC code; both domestic and international. Our partners have experience working with companies at key inflection points in their business cycles: during rapid growth, our partners have built infrastructure, fixed the capital structure and developed the management teams; capital raising with venture capital, private equity, private placements and IPOs; mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, on both the buy and sell side; turnaround including taking firms in/out of bankruptcy. They know how to repair a broken controllership function, fix financial reporting, implement a quick close process, oversee SEC reporting and manage an audit. They know how to manage and improve cash flow, manage debt covenants and banker relationships, and improve the capital structure of their client. They know how to prepare a company for sale, manage the due diligence process and deal effectively with transitional integration and carve out issues; many have experience preparing a company for an IPO, leading the road show and managing investor and analyst relations. They have built finance departments, managing the accounting, treasury, FP&A, strategic planning and various administrative functions. Most of our partners have worked with portfolio companies of private equity groups; many have managed companies during a turnaround, cutting costs and managing resources. Individuals who prosper with Hardesty are those who have chosen interim CFO work as a career, helping us develop the best-practice capabilities we teach all our partners. They are professionals who enjoy being partners, asking for help with they need it, and helping their partners when asked. Partners are effective when they have a well-established network of professional service providers: bankers, attorneys, investment bankers, accountants, investor relations and financial printers, insurance and real estate brokers – or have the interest and ability to develop one with our help. Most importantly, our partners are individuals who take pride in delivering world-class service to their clients - strategic thinkers who roll up their sleeves, and do what it takes to get the job done. Our partners are known for being interim workers who seamlessly integrated with our client’s management teams. Often we mentor key members of their staff. We work hard, but we enjoy the value we have created for our clients, the camaraderie of our peers and the recognition of being a partner in the pre-eminent CFO service provider in North America. |
